Windows 10 is the successor of Windows 8 and was released on July 15, 2015. Windows 10 comprise of many innovations and is better than ever. But there can be some issues which the user might face. One of the problems is appearing of “ we can’t sign in into your account.”So I think this article would be helpful for the reader.
The error message “we can’t sign in to your account” is a problem which does not let the user sign in into his/ her profile. This type of dialogue box might appear on the user’s screen.
The most common solution to the problem is that the user can first “sign out” from the account and then again “sign in “ into the account.
If the user would not immediately” sign out, “ then the files created or changes made to several documents will be lost. However, I would say that it won’t be a permanent solution to the problem.
In order to fix this problem, the user can follow the given methods :
Method 1: User should try to “ sign in” again
The user should try to “ sign in “ with the correct password ( which is very important at the beginning of fixing this problem ).
Method 2: Restart Your Device (At least twice)
Restart your device, so that if any issue exists in some of the settings can be fixed. Disable antivirus software which is installed in your device.
Then retry to sign in.
There are some tips that the user must before following the procedure of fixing the problem:
- You must save all your documents, files ( created or edited) which had been done since the last successful sign in. The files may get lost, so it should be saved to an external drive.
- You can also temporarily disable any app or antivirus software in your device.
If still, the user is unable to get rid of the error, then he/she may follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the system file checker
Step 1.1: This helps you to review all the system file, which are corrupted and help to fix it.
Step 1.2: Type “ cmd” on the start menu >” command prompt” appears and now choose “ run as administrator.
Step 1.3: Click “yes” and then “ enter.”
Step 2: Check any type of update is not pending on your device.
Step 2.1: If your device requires any type of update, then it should be done by following the given steps :
Step 2.2: Click on start menu > click on “update and security “option.
Step 3: Create a new temporary account
Step 3.1: The user should create a new temporary account ( can use the account of family or other people ).
Step 3.2: To add the account, the user should follow the given steps:
- Click on the settings from the menu > select the “family or other people” option >click on add other people > click on “ add someone else to the PC “ option > type the new email > click on “next “>
Step 3.3: <Click on “finish.”
Step 4: Right click on the start button and select the shutdown option
Step 5: Now choose the new account and login using the password
The user must boot the account in safe mode so for that follow the given steps :
- Choose system configuration from the start menu
- Open the boot tab, click on safe. Mode checkbox and click on “ok.”
- Now restart your computer.
