Step 3: Right-click on it and select Run as administrator.

Step 4: Type ipconfig /release and click on the enter button.

Step 5: Now, type ipconfig /renew in the following command and press enter button again.

Step 6: Now, type Exit and then enter.

Check your WiFi connection after doing so whether it is solved or not.

8. Reset TCP/IP Stack

The problem of invalid IP configuration can be solved by resetting the TCP/IP stack. For this, you have to run 3 commands in the command prompt. Follow the steps to implement this solution:

Step 1: First, you have to press the Windows key.

Step 2: Then type cmd in the Search box.

Step 3: Then, you have to right-click on the Command Prompt option and select Run as administrator.

Step 4: Now, type netsh winsock reset catalog and press enter button.

Step 5: Again, type netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log in the following command and click on the enter button.

Step 6: Next, type netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log and click on enter.

Once you have written all of the commands, you have to restart your PC and check whether the error has been fixed or not.

9. Manually Entering The IP Information

As you know this error is only related to the IP configuration. So, you can solve it by entering the IP information manually. You are facing this issue because your WiFi network is not getting a valid IP configuration. So, by doing this, your issue may get solved. You are advised to follow the steps given below to enter the IP information manually:

Step 1: Firstly, you have to hold the Windows key and press R.

Step 2: Now, type ncpa.cpl there and press Enter key.

Step 3: Search for the network which is not working.

Step 4: Then, right-click on the network which you want to fix and select Properties.

Step 5: After that, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).

Step 6: Click on Properties.

Step 7: Select Use the following IP addresses

Step 8: Now, enter 192.168.1.x in IP address (replace x with any number I replaced it with 10)

Step 9: Enter 255.255.0 in Subnet Mask

Step 10: Enter 192.168.1.1 in Default Gateway

Step 11: After that, click on the Use the following DNS server addresses

Step 12: Enter 8.8.8.8 in the Preferred DNS server

Step 13: Enter 8.8.4.4 in the Alternate DNS server

Step 14: Check the option which says Validate upon exit.

Step 15: At last, click on OK.

10. Changing SSID And Password

Step 1: Start by pressing the Window + R key.

Step 2: Now, type cmd in the search bar and click on enter.

Step 3: Then, just type /ipconfig in the command prompt.

Step 4: After that, you have to check the IP Address which is written under the Default Gateway, and copy it.

Step 5: Open the browser and paste it.

Step 6: The login page of your router will appear on your screen. Log in from there and search for SSID and password settings.
