The Windows Update stores all the downloaded files in a folder called “Software Distribution”. There are chances where the files in this folder might be corrupted and this might cause issues in Windows Update, also to the TiWorker.exe with high disk usage and CPU.
It can be solved my deleting the files in this folder, to do so follow the steps mentioned below,
Step 1: Firstly open the “Run” by searching in the Window’s search bar or simply press “Win+R”. Now type this in the search bar “services.msc” and give “OK”.
Step 2: In the Services window look for “Windows Update” and single click on it, now on the top left side click on Stop.
Step 3: Now go to C-drive -> Windows, find the “SoftwareDistribution” folder and delete it.
Step 4: Go ahead and close all the windows and restart your computer/PC, check if the problem is solved if not then try the solutions that are below.
(Don’t worry about the deletion of the file because once you restart the “SoftwareDistribution” folder will be recreated automatically)
Solution 5: Run SFC (System File Checker) Scan
